Not to be confused with our fav Sri Lankan food joint in Manhattan, this towering "8th wonder" of the world is a sight to see and climb. There 70 year old women climbing this with barefoot but we'd advise you to phase yourself and take plenty of water. Additionally there is no shade from the sun when you are up there so maybe bring a hat.
There are a couple of safaris in Sri Lanka but we recommend this one. Last time we were here we ran into elephants, a baby bear among others. Be vary they will charge you $35 if you are a tourist.
Temple of Tooth contains a relic from Buddha. You will not be able to see it unless there is a special "perahera" (parade) but it's still a nice structure and might worth a visit if it's important to you spiritually. $35 tourist fee will apply.
