It was the first week of classes of freshman year and the evenings consisted of staying out till curfew on the "spikeball field" mingling and playing volleyball, soccer, frisbee, and especially spikeball. Hannah and her new roommate, Nina, had gone out almost every night to meet more people and play spikeball. They walked up to a tall boy wearing a "Northern Football" shirt standing around a spikeball net. Hannah liked that this boy seemingly played football (only to find out later he was just the kicker). Hannah and Nina had joined the group and by the second game, Hannah and Jonah became teammates and won their first spikeball game! They continued playing, and Jonah asked for Hannah's number before curfew that night. Obviously, Jonah was impressed by Hannah's sheer athleticism and skill. They went to church together the next morning and the rest is history! The "spikeball field" is no longer a part of Liberty's campus, and the new dining hall is there now!
