There was an instant attraction from the first time I saw Hannah. We had a class together in high school and I had to get to know her. She was more quiet then, but every word she said grabbed my attention and wouldn't let go. I couldn't get enough of her thoughts and interests. What struck me most was how she was so incredibly thoughtful. She would make jokes and drawings about the things I told her I liked. It gave me butterflies! Years later, after college, I saw a picture of her. She looked stunning. I wondered if we could still connect the way we used to. Although I had never done such a thing before, I summoned my courage and shot my shot. When we met again for the first time, we both knew that the connection was real. We shared a wavelength. Every time I made her smile it only strengthened my desire to see that beautiful spark of joy on her face again. To this day that strength motivates me and calls me forward in life. The fulfillment I feel from our love and the certainty of my purpose is unmatched in my life.
This day felt like a dream. It was the happiest day of my life. Jake had always told me that when it comes to our proposal, he wants to make sure that it is unique to us and everything about it was. We were opening our Christmas gifts to each other and in one box was a message in a bottle that reads Happily Ever After. What is needed: the beginning, one special night, and the first day to forever. With this was a beautiful paper in which I answer questions that would give me clues and answers to where we need to go next for these ingredients! He took us around town to places that were special to us and made me cry so may tears of joy because I knew without a doubt that the rest of our lives would be like this. We will cherish each other, hold each other, and know each other's hearts. Everything held meaning and it was more than this moment. it was about us and everything we have been through. When he got down on one knee, time stood still and it was the moment that sealed our promise to loving each other forever.
