Wedding Party

Meet the people who have made us who we are today!

Sam Robie

Person of Honor

Hannah’s favorite older sibling, Sam knows all the most embarrassing parts of Hannah’s childhood (like that time they convinced 3 year old Hannah that dirt was chocolate). Whatever the subject, however, they are a gifted storyteller, have killer dance moves, and always know which shirt you should buy.

Matt Henning

Best Man

Literally the embodiment of the character Waluigi. Matt and Irvin have known each other since jr. high when they would play hacky sack almost every day at lunch and Matt wore his Dominican Republic shirt often. Throughout the years, Irvin and Matt have so many shared memories and have been on so many friend dates/trips that even Hannah is jealous! A life without Matt is like a life without air! Ask him about the word “GORF.”

Alex Geringer-Pate

Bridesmate

The queen of the boozy brunch, Alex irl is even more incredible than she looks in this picture (and that’s already pretty incredible). Hannah and she met through their respective partners, and in a wonderful twist of fate, soon became next-block neighbors in Brooklyn. Whether helping Hannah navigate the D&D ropes, sharing must-reads, or making tacos, Alex is a bright light of talent, humor, and wisdom. Ask her about the time Hannah lost her wedding ring in the park (and Alex still talks to her!).

Cameron Geringer-Pate

Groomsmate

Cam is one of the most thoughtful people Irvin knows. They go way back to their high school track days where Cam was a star and Irvin was just there. Being closer to Cam was one of the many reasons Irvin wanted to live in NYC and made his time living there very special. If you ever need an amazing D&D Dungeon Master, call Cam! Oh, but watch out for him in board games, he’s a shady farmer.

Daniel Wikey

Bridesmate

From meeting in geometry class as freshmen in high school to being college roomies and then moving to New York in the same year, Hannah couldn’t have become who she is now without Daniel. Seriously, he taught Hannah everything she knows about cooking! Ask him for a mixtape under his musical alias D Wikstar - you won’t be disappointed.

Maggie Yale

Groomsmate

Another long time high school friend, Irvin and Maggie have had multiple adventures together. Maggie is the perfect friend to have a beer (IPAs only) and talk/laugh with for hours. Maggie taught Irvin how to solve a Rubik’s cube but he has now forgotten. Don’t ever challenge her at Double Dash! If you find yourself trying to enter an elevator with Maggie and her dog, Niko - remember that it’s always Niko first!

LilyAnne Jewett

Bridesmate

12 year old Hannah didn’t expected to find lifelong friends in seventh grade, but sometimes that’s just how the cookie crumbles! And thank goodness it did. Whether Lily is crab-linking arms with you (don’t expect her to let go!), wearing a beanie in a way you didn’t even know was right until you saw it, or just making you laugh your guts out, Lily is just the best. Fully expect her to wear this outfit at the wedding.

Kelsey Krasnigor

Groomsmate

One of the funniest people he knows, Kelsey and Irvin both went to UCSC and worked at CrossFit together. After Kelsey left for LA, they stayed in close touch especially since Kelsey’s life is basically a sitcom (check out her IG). Irvin likes to remind Kelsey that he is her biggest fan and will be offended if he’s not included in her EGOT speech. That is not a joke!

Yael Levy

Bridesmate

Yael (pictured with honorary bridesmate Blueberry) and Hannah met at the tail-end of Hannah’s time at UC Berkeley, when they both got to know their way around an ice cream scoop and lemon zester better than any person probably should, working at Ici Ice Cream. There, they discovered a shared affinity for Agatha Christie, figure drawing, and more that quickly took away the chill of working out of an ice cream freezer, and the rest is (warmer) history.

Ryan Johnston

Groomsmate

MMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!! Another CrossFit alum, Ryan has taught Irvin so many wonderful life lessons that have shaped the person he is today. From nights in Ryan’s SF apartment to casual outings in San Jose, Irvin feels like Ryan is a brother he never had. He also has one of the most addictive laughs on the planet. Don’t challenge Ryan to a game of Smash - he’s really good.

Kelsey Kanavel

Bridesmate

Kelsey would have been named Hannah had she been born first, but it’s ok because we all know she’s a Hannah on the inside! But seriously folks, no one had cooler cat-themed birthday parties as an eight year old, or put up so well with Hannah, Daniel, and Lily when they all lived together in college. Kelsey is a scientist, a comedian, and a first-class human being, and Hannah couldn’t be luckier to call her cousin!

Jessica Lane

Groomsmate

A long time friend, Irvin and Jessica met during their freshman year of high school (Jessica's first year of public school). Throughout this time, Jessica would frequently go to Irvin and ask him what various NSFW terms meant that she had heard or been told about. Irvin found this very hilarious. Throughout the years, their friendship continued to grow even as Jessica began to travel the world and they would go long periods of time without seeing each other. Now, they are fierce allies with Hannah in whimsical D&D hi-jinx with their DM, Jessica's husband David.

Gus Santos

Officiant

It’s not a party until you have a mullet show up! Gus went to Chico High with Hannah and Irvin back when he didn’t have a mullet. Hannah and Gus used to sing together in the choir and had heated discussions on a numerous topics. Irvin and Gus didn’t become close friends until years after high school which now seems like lost time. One of the most eloquent and kind-hearted people they know, Gus was the obvious choice to be their officiant. If you ever need a helping hand, Gus will always be there for you, no matter the distance.
