Why not?! Harry will be wearing a kilt and rumor has it Hannah's father also will be wearing one. We recommend renting from McCalls in Glasgow. We plan on doing a group pick up/drop off on Sunday September 3rd/September 5th - if you would like us to pick up your kilt follow steps below. 1. Rent kilt from Mccalls in Glasgow (www.mccalls.co.uk) 2. Shoes are listed in UK sizes on website 3. Add this note to your order "GL-WATSON 04/09/23" 4. Add your details to google file (bit.ly/ScotlandKiltRental)
Ceilidhs are boisterous, wild dancing and hooting and clapping and jumping about to traditional Scottish folk music. We suggest bringing a pair of flats or risk going barefoot since high heels are not a good option.
Helensburgh is accessible from Edinburgh or Glasgow airport. Our recommendation is to fly into Edinburgh (maybe even spend a few days there checking out the amazing city) and then catch the Scotrail train to Helensburgh.
Short answer is no. All wedding activities are walkable from the city center and we will be providing a shuttle to the reception. There are two very important things you need to know about Scotland: 1. They drive on the other side of the road 2. There is absolutely no drinking and driving - the limit is so low that even one drink is pushing it All that being said it is 100% possible to travel from the USA to Scotland and not rent a car.
