Question

A Quiet Note on Wedding Traditions and Gift-Giving

Answer

If you wish to extend a gift as we start this journey together, we are happy to honor wedding tradition that reflect the place we will call home: South Korea. One of these is 축의금 (chug-ui-geum), a Korean tradition where loved ones may share their well wishes in a simple and thoughtful way, a gesture that also serves as a savings for our future. Please know that your love and presence are the most precious gifts we could ever receive, and we are simply grateful to celebrate this special day with you. We deeply appreciate any gesture of love, but as we will be flying back to Korea with limited luggage, this tradition is the most practical way for us to carry your kindness home. For those who would like to take part in this tradition, envelopes will be quietly available at the registration area, and our coordinator will be happy to assist with warmth, care, and discretion.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We’d love to see everyone dressed in their finest. Think of this celebration as the perfect excuse to bring out that elegant outfit you’ve been saving, whether it’s a long-loved gown or your sharpest suit. There’s no need to purchase anything new; we simply encourage formal attire in dark tones, especially shades of blue. We kindly ask that you avoid white, ivory, cream, or other light hues, as these are reserved for the bride.

Question

Can I bring a +1?

Answer

We’ve designed this wedding to be an intimate celebration and hope to spend meaningful time with those who matter most to both of us. We kindly ask that only those formally invited attend. Thank you for your understanding!

Question

Is there parking?

Answer

Yes, Vivere Hotel offers designated parking for guests. Parking is free of charge. Upon arrival, simply inform the butler that you’re attending The Jo’s Wedding to ensure smooth access.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We kindly ask that you arrive on or before 12:15 PM so you have time to settle in and enjoy a welcome drink before the ceremony begins. Arriving early also gives you the chance to mingle with other guests and get comfortable before the program starts. We want everyone to feel relaxed and connected as we celebrate together.

Question

What if we can’t attend? Do we still need to submit the RSVP?

Answer

Yes, please! Even if you are unable to attend, we ask that you still submit your RSVP and select “will not attend.” This helps us finalize seating and provide an accurate headcount to our suppliers.
