Monhegan Island
If you’re joining us for multiple days, we couldn’t recommend taking the hardy boat ferry to Monhegan island for the day more! It’s 10 miles out to sea with some of the most breathtaking hiking views, amazing fresh seafood, and even a brewery that you can exclusively get their beer from by visiting the island!
Boothbay Harbor
We love to take a day while in Maine to visit Boothbay Harbor for some shopping and pizza on the boardwalk! We also play an annual game of mini golf and get soft serve from Dolphin Mini Golf that we look forward to all year!
Wawenock Golf Club
Those who know Glenn know that he loves to golf. This is somewhere that he looks forward to golfing all year and tries to play a few times during the week that we visit in the summer! (Hannah enjoys driving the cart with a few cocktails in the cooler)
Shaw's Fish & Lobster Wharf
Shaws is a very special place to the Hellthaler family! Being right down the road from the place that has been visited by this family for decades, we try to eat at Shaws as much as possible while visiting! For those who are not seafood lovers, there is a huge array of non seafood options as well!

We are pizza lovers and this is one we look forward to all year! Highly recommend making a reservation in advance!
Pemaquid Seafood
Another AMAZING seafood spot in the harbor! We look forward to having lobsters and taking in the beautiful view alongside family during our stay!
Harbor Ice Cream
Glenn talks about this ice cream all year, specifically the soft serve, it’s a must try!
Pemaquid Beach
A cute little beach with a new pavilion offering food as well!
The SeaGull Restaurant & Gift
This is an awesome spot to get a bite to eat (breakfast, lunch, and dinner on select days) on the grounds of the lighthouse where our ceremony is taking place!
Pemaquid Point Lighthouse
This historical site is where our ceremony is taking place. Spend the afternoon enjoying touring the lighthouse and grounds after having a meal at the SeaGull Shop!
Hardy Boat Cruises
These cruises are throughout the day and offer sight seeing of this Bay Area! Audubon puffin cruise takes you out to see some of the areas where the puffins reside out to sea. Coastal seal and nature cruise takes you around the shore and in the bay where you might be able to spot some seals or even whales! The boat docks at Shaws Lobster Wharf so it pairs perfectly with enjoying lunch or dinner!
