Mutual friends of Hannah and Garrett thought the two would hit it off. After one evening together, it turns out they were right. Hannah and Garrett became exclusive several months later and never looked back.

Garrett and Hannah were in Florida over Memorial Day weekend and went out for an afternoon of kayaking. Together in a double kayak for the first time, they were addressing the challenges of paddling in sync. Since it requires one to be somewhat dependent on the other, it didn't come without a few hiccups. Aside from the mechanics of maneuvering the kayak, Garrett secretly thought getting down on one knee wasn't going to be possible. He didn't let that stop him though. He was able to surprise Hannah without dropping the ring in the water or tipping the boat over. It was just them; she said yes, and it was perfect!
