Gage and Hannah first met in middle school—she was in 7th grade, and he was in 6th. Over the years, their friendship grew throughout high school, filled with shared laughs, hallway conversations, and plenty of teenage memories. After graduation, life took them on different paths. She attended Middle Tennessee State University, while he went to Tennessee Technological University. They reconnected briefly during college but eventually lost touch again as they focused on their own journeys.

Several years later, fate stepped in. One early morning around 6 a.m., she walked into the local YMCA for a workout and noticed a familiar face—it was Gage. They exchanged curious glances, silently trying to confirm if they were really seeing each other after all that time. Gage finally approached her, and the two spent a while catching up. A few weeks passed before she followed him on Instagram. Soon after, Gage sent her a message and asked for her number—only to find out she had never deleted his from her phone.

Their first date was on February 15th at a local spot called One19, and from that evening on, they’ve been together ever since. After dinner, they headed to a local cantina where, in a funny twist of fate, they ran into Gage’s mom who was out with her friends. A few margaritas and plenty of chips and queso later, they capped off the night at Katie’s Ice Cream. They officially began dating on March 21st, 2023.

Just over a year later, Gage planned a surprise proposal for Hannah, gathering their closest friends and family to be part of the big moment. With the help of Hannah’s best friend, Christy, he arranged a dinner that Hannah believed was just a casual night out. Friends traveled from as far as California and Mississippi to be there for the surprise. As Gage and Hannah headed out to meet Christy and her husband, Johnny, for dinner, Gage led her across the street—where she walked in on a room filled with the people who meant the most to them. In front of their cheering friends and family, Gage got down on one knee and asked Hannah to spend forever with him.
