Fifteen Evan and Hannah met as teenagers in the Walnut High School Blue Thunder Marching Band, when Evan was a sophomore and Hannah was a freshman. Evan and Hannah were friends for a bit, but Hannah had a crush on Evan for a long time. Although they had a few bumps on the road, the two started dating in the summer of 2015. After a year of dating, Hannah came home one day with a bouquet of roses and told her parents that they were from Evan. From then on, Evan and Hannah's relationship bloomed stronger as they finished their high school years together. On Hannah's 18th birthday, Evan gifted her a promise ring, with a promise to never give up and keep fighting for their relationship. Everything Has Changed Evan and Hannah ended up at different colleges and would see each other about once a week for the next several years. There were many obstacles faced by the couple as they went through changes in their personal lives and their relationship, but they always fought to make it work and stick together. What mattered to the both of them was that they finished their college journeys for themselves, their families, and their future together. 10 years after they first met... May 24, 2024 Hannah was waiting for Evan as they had been invited to dinner with Evan's brother Jordan and his wife Kayla at Coco Palm, which happens to be Hannah's favorite restaurant. Hannah wanted to cancel the dinner plans, but her sister Hezelle and mom Lily were pushing her to go. While she was getting ready for dinner, Hannah kept asking Evan why he was so eager to go to dinner, and even asked if he was going to propose at dinner. Evan played it cool and dodged Hannah's questions. Eventually, they made it to Hannah's favorite restaurant and after a great dinner, the couple had to go stop for gas. At the gas station Evan received a call from his dad, asking for help because he was locked out of his car. Evan and Hannah got to English Springs Park, where Hannah still did not know what was going on at this point. Evan asked Hannah if she wanted to go for a walk while they waited for help. They started walking down the ramp and Hannah sees a whole set up with lights and lamps, where she whispers to Evan, "Is someone proposing?" Evan and Hannah made their way toward the set up, where they were greeted by Evan's photographer friend Daniel. Hannah started crying at this point as she realized that this was the moment they had been waiting for for years. Daniel started taking pictures of the couple while their favorite songs were playing in the background. He then gave Evan a fake rose as a prop for the photos. Love Story (TV) started playing and Evan was rambling some words to his soon-to-be fiancée. Having practiced for hours, Evan finally took a knee with perfect timing to the song's bridge, opening the rose, revealing a beautiful ring at the moment Romeo asks Juliet to marry him. With tears streaming down her face, Hannah nodded yes immediately, and the couple enjoyed their happy moment together. After the song ended, both of their families rushed to the scene to celebrate.
