Our love story began in Waco, Texas in the fall of 2019 at Magnolia. Where Ethan would do early morning deliveries to the Silos Baking Company. Hannah started to look forward to every delivery in chance that she could spark a conversation with him - especially because he would deliver homemade biscuits! After many engagements with each other and specifically a rememberable one when they were busy training for the new coffee shop, Magnolia Press. Ethan asked Hannah out on a date and planned the best first date and as Hannah would say she felt like she was living in a Hallmark movie! It started at an escape room themed "dinner for two", we then enjoyed a couple of cocktails at a local bar (got kicked out because it was passed closing) we then continued the date walking around downtown. Seven hours later...on the way home, Hannah called her parents at 3am to tell them that "I think I'm going to marry this guy! I feel like I've known him forever." Little did we know that the Lord had big, big plans!
Ever since the first date, I’ve always known Hannah was the one for me. 8 months later - I knew I was finally ready for the lifelong commitment. In the Fall of ‘20 (4 months before the proposal) I had the ring in my hand and her family’s blessing. Just like this amazing new year - our engagement began on January 1, 2021. Hannah and I were on a planned vacation to Colorado for the first time to explore and catch up with friends. On the morning of the 1st, as we’re making our way to hike the Rockies I surprised Hannah by pulling over at an overlook point hike. After hiking a small trail we arrived at the main overlook. As soon as I felt the time was right - it was time to pop the question!
We love our weekly habits of eating chips and queso, playing darts, or sometimes both at the same time. We made a deal that Hannah is the chef and Ethan does the dishes. We enjoy going to the gym and working on house projects. You can find us listening to podcasts, Texas country music, and going on icecream dates once a week. Lylah Grey, Hannah's cat (also know as) the queen has slowly gotten used to not being the leader of the family. We can't forget that the Ethan's dad jokes come in ap-pun-dance. You might find a stash of homemade scones or peanut butter m&ms in the cookie jar in the kitchen. We love to keep each other on our toes, we recently added another little kitten man, Bodhi to the clan. You can catch us always showing up to church service about 5 minutes late and enjoying every minute there. We came from two completely different worlds, a sweet, sassy California girl and a simple, witty Texas guy but when those worlds collided the world made total sense to us. Beyond these things, we always make sure to find time and take comfort in each other. We are beyond thrilled, eager and excited to see what the Lord has planned for us and our future family.
