Yes please! The wedding party at Hudson Mills Metro Park has a playground right near the pavilion. We want to celebrate love and community with everyone!
Yes - There will be continuous chartered bus shuttle service from the Hampton Inn & Suites Ann Arbor West (next door to the Wyndham Garden) on Jackson Ave, Ann Arbor to Hudson Mills Metropark from 3:30pm to 9:30pm. There is ample parking at the park - so you won't need to shuttle. Uber/Lfyt can also pick up from the park.
We joked about this one - our goal with this party is to bring together our favorite people, not to have the fanciest party. Please wear what makes you most comfortable, shorts and a polo, a nice shirt, a sun dress, etc.
COVID infection rates are HIGH at this time in the Ann Arbor area. We are requesting that everyone take a home COVID antigen test before attending all of the wedding events. All events will be outdoors, but we strongly encourage everyone to use a tight-fitting mask in the bathrooms, on shuttle buses, or in crowded spaces.
Friday afternoon river trip! There will be a 2-hr group river trip down the beautiful and slow moving Huron River through Ann Arbor on Friday, August 19 starting at 2pm. We will gather around 1:30 to say hello and sunscreen up and everyone can rent their floating vessel of choice! The trip starts at the Argo Park Livery at 1055 Longshore Dr, Ann Arbor, MI 48105. There is parking near the livery, where you can rent a 2-person canoe or kayak ($30) or 1-person kayak ($24). The trip ends at the Gallup Park at 3000 Fuller Rd, Ann Arbor, MI 48105. Van shuttle service at Gallup Park back to Argo Park is provided to those who rented canoes, kayaks, or rafts. The first 1500 feet of the river trip are the exciting Argo Park cascades. The cascades are a series of nine whitewater passages that each quickly drop 4-5 feet (sometimes only like two feet and a quick ‘whee’). Plan on getting wet (e.g., put your phone, drinks, and snacks in a waterproof bag). If you love to go tubing, you can opt to rent an inflatable tube for 2 hours ($10) at the Argo Park Livery and run the cascades 3-4 times (walking back to the start each time). Rented tubes must stay at the Argo Park cascades.
