Dustin took me 'hunting' one Sunday afternoon, December 20, 2020 to be exact. It never crossed my mind that it wasn't deer season, but it didn't stop me from spending the day with my hardworking man. As we got everything around, and made it to his parent's house on the family homestead, we got out of the truck and started the trek back on the property. I knew where the hunting blind was, so as we got closer, he handed me the gun because he thought he saw a deer - the one that he had hyped me up about seeing and noticing it was a monster just days before! As we got super close to the blind, he pointed and I noticed a deer just past the blind. I was just about to pull up the gun to look through my scope, when I noticed it was a deer target, and that it had a sign on it. When I turned to look at Dustin, he was on one knee with the biggest smile on his face! It was truly a day I will never forget!
