We are having a South African-inspired, buffet style dinner, with a curry as the main dish. There will be a vegan version and one with chicken. If you have any food allergies please let us know and we will get you a list of things that are safe for you to eat from the caterer.
There will be an open bar which will also be serving a selection of sodas and juices.
Of course, we love your kids and it wouldn't be a celebration without them! There will be a lot of safe space for kids to run around, indoors and out.
We are registered on this website in the Registry tab but also at Target, Menards and REI. Feel free to shop off registry if you have another way you would prefer to show your love. Unfortunately the church does not have its own parking lot but there should be plenty of street parking available on Pleasant Ave and on 39th street.
If you put DNR Building into Google Maps it will pull up the building. Otherwise we recommend taking 94 east; exit to Snelling, head north (left); exit onto Como and turn left; then take your first right onto Underwood St, which will take you into the fairgrounds behind the haunted house; take the first left onto Judson and you'll turn right onto Nelson, to park. The block between Judson and Carnes will be blocked off for us, please park on an angle to make room for everyone.
The church has an elevator that is accessed through the wood door to the right of the big staircase. The DNR building and park are completely accessible. Metro Mobility can pull up to any corner of the block to drop you off near a sidewalk cut.
Please email with any issues we haven't addressed. hobmiller@gmail.com
The chief of the state fair police has assured us that cars left overnight next to the DNR building will not be towed. You may feel free to take an Uber or Lyft home at the end of the night. The hotel that we have a block in is only 5 minutes from the reception hall.
