Like all great love stories, ours began with a little matchmaking. Back in 2020, Derek’s cousin and Hannah’s coworker, Tatum decided we just had to meet. Our first date was supposed to be a double date, but Derek was so excited to meet Hannah that he moved it up a day early—and the rest, as they say, is history. From the very beginning, we were inseparable. Within a few months, Hannah had basically moved in (unofficially, of course), and life together just felt easy. Some of our favorite memories are the simple ones—going to baseball games, sharing a bowl of popcorn during movie nights, and spending evenings at our favorite dive bar, the Swizzle Inn. Derek knew Hannah was the one when, after just a few weeks of dating, she showed up wearing Yankees shirts to support his favorite team. Hannah knew Derek was the one when he made a habit of showing up at the bar she worked at every Friday night—just to spend time with her. In December of 2024, the day before Hannah’s college graduation, Derek proposed in Munds Park, turning an already special weekend into one we’ll never forget. Now, after years of laughter, adventures, and shared popcorn, we can’t wait to celebrate the start of our forever with all of you.
