It all started with a swipe šŸ

Our Story We thought it’d be fun to share how our story began—from both of our perspectives. Hers includes BBQ, Christmas lights, and a group text called Heartthrob Happenings.
His includes a truck, a bouquet of flowers, and one unforgettable first date. However you look at it, we both agree: God knew exactly what He was doing. Her Side – Hannah After a long break from dating, I went all in during the summer and fall of 2024. I went on a lot of first dates—so many that I created a shared note with 25 of my girlfriends to document the highs, the lows, and the hilarious moments. We called it Heartthrob Happenings. Then I matched with David. From the moment he stepped out of his truck—flowers in hand, door opened with a smile—I knew this was different. We wandered Crown Center under twinkly Christmas lights, ate BBQ (carnivore dreams!), and talked for hours. I left that night giddy and voice-noted the girls a 17-minute update, ending with: ā€œI don’t know where this is going, but I’m just so thankful a man like that still exists.ā€ Spoiler: that man is now my husband-to-be.
From day one, David pursued me with kindness, clarity, and a heart rooted in faith. No games, just something real. I’ve never felt more safe, seen, or excited for the future.
God really does work in mysterious ways… even through dating apps. His Side – David From the start, Hannah impressed me with her joy, consistency, and hilarious texts. I knew I wanted to make our first date special—so I showed up with flowers, opened her door, and hoped she’d see I meant it. What I remember most is how easy and meaningful our conversation was. We laughed, shared stories, and quickly found space to talk about faith, family, and the deeper things that matter. There wasn’t just one ā€œthis is differentā€ moment—there were many. I knew very quickly that this could be something real. One of my favorite memories from those early days? The handwritten letters we exchanged. Who even writes letters anymore? It meant a lot. I had no clue she had a whole crew of girls following our story in a shared note—but I’m honored to have graduated from ā€œEw, Davidā€ to ā€œDavido.ā€ Our beginning is a story of patient trust, deep connection, and answered prayers. We’ve done our best to keep Christ at the center from day one—and we’re so grateful for the story He’s writing.
