The Wedding Website of Hannah Faulkner and David Roman
You are invited to participate the love ceremony of Hannah Faulkner and David Roman. We met on the Winter Solstice and will marry on the Summer Solstice, which is also the International Day of Yoga. In this spirit, we will celebrate unity, purity and light as we ALL WEAR WHITE. The Summer Solstice marks the onset of summer, at the time of the longest day of the year. Solstice is derived from the Latin words sol (Sun) and sistere (to stand still). The sun is treasured as the ultimate source of almost all light and warmth on Earth’s surface. Like the circle shape of the sun, our Crown Chakra, is our energy center source of spiritual connection to all that is. Like a crown of on the top of our heads, we will gather in concentric circles, to sit on provided matching blankets an cushions as we share vegetarian and pescatarian sushi rolls in alignment with the white circles theme. We have a LIMITED GUEST LIST, due to park regulations and permitting. RSVP'S ARE DUE BY FRIDAY MAY 10TH.

Summer Solstice Ceremony, Vows, and Speaches

6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

All White Attire- button up shirts or blouses, tunics or dresses (bottoms can be white, beige, khaki or even light jean).

After social mingling, we will sit cross-legged in a classic yogic posture, as my beloved reiki teacher, Gianna, leads us through some unifying breathing, gentle arms movements, and enchanting singing crystal bowl sound-bath meditation. My dear friend, Alison, will lead us through our vows of commitment. Further, family and friends will share their blessings in the form of speeches and toasts. As the sun sets, we will complete the ceremony with delicate hand-made chocolate truffles, as a form of a cacao ceremony. The splendid beauty of the setting sun is symbolic of the mystery of life itself given from the great divine intelligent artist. Ancient cacao has been used for centuries to pair with yoga, meditation, dancing, reiki, and social gatherings because of its heart-opening qualities. It enables sacredness and greater connection to other people and to yourself as it is associated with universal love, feelings of emotional intimacy and pleasure, and flowering divine gratitude.
