Both born and raised in Louisville, Curtis and Hannah didn't meet until they ended up attending the University of Kentucky. Highly involved in the theatre department at UK, they were around each other often. They became fast friends when Hannah started picking Curtis up from his dorm on Sundays to go to church his freshman year/her sophomore year. They were always hanging out in the same friend group and even became next door neighbors at one point during their college years. After graduating, Hannah moved back to Louisville to start her teaching career, and a year later, after his graduation, Curtis moved to Atlanta for his internship with Actor’s Express Theatre Company. All the while, despite the distance and time apart, their friendship remained strong through regular phone calls, text check-ins, and even visits when Curtis was able to come back in town to Louisville. After “pushing 40 in the friend zone,” as one of their favorite John Mayer songs goes, in June of 2019, Curtis finally invited Hannah on their first date at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. Almost exactly 2 years after that first date, they couldn’t be happier to finally join their lives together and continue their journey as best friends, adding the new titles of husband and wife to that! Curtis and Hannah are both honored and grateful to have so many of their friends and family join together to support and love them on this big day!
