Hot. And Humid. Hannah's dream is for an outdoor ceremony, so we're starting the ceremony at 6:30 pm to escape most of the day's heat. However, it will still be hot and humid, so please dress/plan accordingly. The reception will be indoors and have air condition - BUT, it will still be on the warmer side - Louisiana.
Of course! Just please let us know on your RSVP (link at the top of the page or top right on mobile) how many people will be with you (including yourself).
We invite you to be truly present at this special time. Please, turn off your cell phones and put down your cameras. The photographer will capture how this moment looks — we encourage you all to capture how it feels with your hearts, without the distraction of technology. This will also greatly increase the quality of photos our amazing photographer will be able to capture- without other screens in the shots.
We love and are excited for your family to be at our wedding! Children are welcome, we just kindly ask that you prepare to keep them entertained and engaged for the duration of the ceremony (it won't be incredibly long). Or, use the wedding as a great excuse for Mom and Dad to get a solo night out ;)
Yes! We love that you're all celebrating with us - and love following your journey to the wedding, and your fun in and around Lafayette surrounding the wedding. Share photos or posts about your journey, the big day, and the party with the hashtag #WeTheBlackwells so we can look back on all the fun!
We have a block of rooms reserved at the Homewood Suites specifically for out of town family - if you're interested, we'll happily provide you the link! However, you are free to stay wherever is most convenient and cost effective for you.
