If you're seeking... City views: DUMBO, Brooklyn Heights, Williamsburg Historic charm: Brooklyn Heights, Fort Greene, Cobble Hill, Carroll Gardens, Park Slope Green space/parks: Park Slope, DUMBO, Williamsburg, Fort Greene Hip food & drinks: Prospect Heights (Vanderbilt Ave between Grand Army Plaza and Atlantic Ave is our fave!), Park Slope (5th Ave), Williamsburg, Greenpoint, Fort Greene, ...but honestly, ALL! There's great food & drink everywhere! Adventure: Governors Island (not technically BK, but you can catch the ferry from Brooklyn Bridge Park... just be mindful of ferry times for coming back to us!)
The best view of Manhattan is from Brooklyn Bridge Park. Be sure to make your way down by the water, right up next to the Brooklyn Bridge and take in the sights. Nearby, check out the DUMBO neighborhood and take the iconic picture of the Empire State Building seen through a gap in the Manhattan Bridge. You can also walk across the Brooklyn Bridge for another cool experience.
If you want to check out Williamsburg, Domino park is a great place to start for views of the city. Move further inland to see all the hip shops, great food, and fun bars of Williamsburg
A green space oasis in Brooklyn, we love this place. If you go, definitely make sure to check out the Japanese Garden. You could combo this with the Brooklyn Museum next door.
This is one of the most amazing museums in the world (our favorite!). Check out a few exhibits and hit the outdoor wine bar on the roof for a view of Central Park. Fun fact, when we were allowed back in the MET after it reopened from covid, Hannah wept... yes, we love it that much.
There is so much to do in Central Park. You could go for a run, have a picnic in the Sheep Meadow, check out Strawberry Field, or just enjoy the sights of tall skyscrapers poking out from the tops of a massive park. Fun fact, Craig proposed to Hannah in Central Park next to Bow Bridge.
Craig's favorite exhibit: Halls of Dinosaurs Hannah's favorite exhibit: Halls of Gems & Minerals
Take a walk on the High Line and check out sights from Hudson Yards down to Meat Packing. Enjoy any food and sights just off the High Line along the way.
This is a really cool museum for a wide range of American art, and has great views from its roof decks. Afterwards, take a walk on the Hudson and visit the Little Island (we love it so much!).
Broadway shows are a huge part of NYC. Stop by the bright lights and take in a show!
If you enjoy more of a modern taste in art (or if you want to see Starry Night), check out the MoMA.
