Our story started in a place neither of us expected would change our lives forever: a physical therapy clinic. I was already working there when he arrived as a student for his clinical rotation. At first, we were just coworkers getting to know each other in between busy days and patients, through shared conversations that somehow always seemed to last a little longer than they should. Before long, we had already started finding reasons to spend time together outside the clinic. What started as casual hangouts quickly turned into something more. We realized pretty fast that being together felt easy and familiar, like we had known each other much longer than we actually had. Even after his rotation at the clinic ended, we continued talking every day and making time for each other whenever we could. Somewhere along the way, without a big announcement or dramatic moment, we realized this was becoming something serious. We eventually chose February 10th, 2023 as our “official” dating anniversary because around that time, we both knew this relationship was different and that we were fully choosing each other. From there, our lives became more and more intertwined through every season of change. In a full-circle moment, his first job after school brought him right back to the same clinic where our story started. We spent another six months working together before I took a new job so we could finally coordinate PTO and actually take vacations together. As our relationship grew, so did our little world. We moved in together for the first time with two amazing roommates/besties, Oskar and Taylor, who made that chapter of our lives unforgettable. Later, we moved into our own apartment and added two very important members to our family: Suki and Luna, the absolute best kitties we could have asked for. Since then, we’ve built a life filled with adventures, road trips, vacations, late-night laughs, big milestones, and countless little moments that made us fall even more in love with each other. And somehow, every new chapter just kept getting better. Then came one of the easiest “yes” answers of all time. On a surprise birthday trip to Monterey Bay, California, he proposed on a viewing deck overlooking the ocean. Now, we’re so excited to celebrate the next chapter of our story with all of you as we look forward to our wedding day and our life together.
