For about 5 months before we first met, some mutual friends of ours kept saying that we needed to meet and how we would be perfect together. We both knew each others names but never wanted to go on a blind date, just not our style. One night after bowling league I came downtown Iowa City to meet some friends to have some drinks at the Sports Column. My friends were running behind and the Sports Column made me feel really old so I was going to wait outside for them. As I walked out of the bar I hear my name being called from just down the sidewalk, our mutual friend Calvin was outside of the Deadwood and yelled my name! I was so relived to see someone my own age. I talked to Calvin for a few minutes and he got excited and told me Chris was with them, just inside, celebrating our friend Patrick birthday. It was February 6, 2015 and we finally Met. Several dates later and spending a lot of time together we started to get more serious and talking about marriage and moving in together...and then we found out we were pregnant on November 28th, 2015! Little did we know she would steal our hearts! On August 7th, 2017, the universe blessed us with a beautiful baby girl. Life comes as it is supposed to and the universe said it was time. On February 9, 2016 Chris proposed to me and I said YES!! Our idea to honor the day we met (6th), and the day we got engaged (9th), by initially choosing our wedding date to be 06/09/2018 was sweet, however, the universe had other plans for us. We found out we were pregnant again on November 11th, 2018! So we decided to postpone the wedding until after we had the new baby. On July 7th, 2018, the universe blessed us with a handsome baby boy! After life settled a bit we decided since both of our blessings were born on the 7th it would be appropriate to move the wedding date back to September 7th, 2019! This way we all can enjoy the 'BIG DAY' together! We are so excited to be able to share our 'BIG DAY' with all of our Family and Friends!!
