In late June, daytime temperatures can get into the low 80s and nighttime temperatures can be in the low 60s. We encourage you to bring layers and a light jacket for the evenings.
Festivities will take place in Bovina and Andes, New York. The closest airport is Albany (1.5 hours). NYC Airports are between 2.5 and 3 hours away. There is a Trailways bus from New York City to Andes and Delhi. We are happy to connect you with folks who do airport pickups. (Note that having a car is very helpful in these parts!)
There are many Airbnbs in the area and we recommend you start with Bovina, Andes, Delhi, and surrounding towns. With the exception of the Andes Hotel, there are few hotels nearby. However, if you don't mind traveling a little further for the festivities, Cooperstown, Woodstock, and Kingston are all within an hour and 20 minutes and have more traditional hotels. We encourage you to get on Airbnb as soon as possible as things book fast around here. You can find a few options to get you started, including a few within walking distance to the wedding venue, on the travel tab of this website.
We’ve pulled together some of our favorite things to do in the area on our “things to do page” of this website!
The dress code for Friday is your Sunday-Best-on-a-Friday. Think summer dresses, flowy pants, collared shirts, slacks. You get it. Colorful prints? Yes! That fun hat you bought on vacation but haven’t had an occasion to wear? Lets do it! White clothing recommended for only the most skilled crawfish eaters among us. We will be outside on grass so plan your shoes accordingly! The dress code for Saturday is semi-formal. We hope you’ll join us in getting dolled up on Saturday! Think somewhere between cocktail and black tie attire: suits, jumpsuits, long or cocktail dresses. Gowns and tuxes are not required but we ask that men do wear a jacket. We will be on grass and gravel so plan your shoes accordingly! The dress code for Sunday is mini-golf-chic. Just kidding, it's casual.
Kiddos are welcome on Friday and Sunday but we hope to keep Saturday adults-only. If you need assistance finding a babysitter in the area, we are happy to help!
Street parking is available in Andes. There is also parking available across from the Andes School.
Friday will be a crawfish boil with other grazing appetizers. There will be options for pescatarians and vegetarians, and folks eating gluten and dairy-free. If you are still hungry afterwards, check out our “things to do” page for restaurant options in the area. Saturday’s menu will be an Italian feast. We will have options for pescatarians and vegetarians, and folks eating gluten and dairy-free. Everything will be served buffet-style. On Sunday we will be serving bagels with lox and shmear (and coffee!)
Uber hasn’t quite made it to the Catskills yet but there are a few taxi options in the area. We strongly encourage you to book a taxi ahead of time or plan ahead in order to prioritize safety when driving home. Here are a few taxi options within an hour of the venue.
