We are getting married!

Christopher and I met on a dating app in October 2018. We went to dinner on Monday, October 15th at a local pizza place called Fireside Pies. We had some pizza and were there for a couple of hours talking. It was a great night. We had plans for a second date by the end of the evening.

Christopher and I had some discussions about getting married after about 3-4 months of dating. I was confident that Christopher was not going to propose quite yet. He was headed to Colorado at the end of April for Young Life and I was certain he would propose when I was visiting him in Colorado in May or he would propose when he came back to Fort Worth in June. In March, Christopher and I decided we would make March Madness brackets. We decided that whoever lost the bracket had to take the winner to this adorable French restaurant, St Emilion, that we had been wanting to go to for a while. Turns out Duke was a bad bet and so I lost the bracket. We made reservations for April 19th. The weather was beautiful that evening so Chris suggested that we go on a walk prior to dinner, we love to take walks so this was not out of the ordinary. We were walking over by the Amon Carter museum on Camp Bowie in Fort Worth. There is one particular location where you can see the downtown skyline. We were standing there talking and Chris said, "I cannot wait to start a life here with you" I smiled and hugged him. I pulled on his hand as to keep walking and he didn't really move. He then got on one knee and proposed. I did not actually hear anything he said I was just so shocked that it was happening. I said "are you sure" and luckily he said yes. I had him tell me later exactly what he said so I would know. Later, he told I hit him on the shoulder as he got on one knee, I guess I was really surprised. Then we went to dinner and had some amazing food and wine. We went back to my place that night to call our parents and friends.
