Hannah and Chase's Love Story

Upon meeting, most of the words exchanged between Chase and I were insults (mostly me insulting him). Chase told me that I was more interesting than he thought and I told him that his face was ugly. Good basis for a relationship, right? We had barely known each other for a month when we went on our first date. I wanted to get shitty mall Chinese food but Chase refused. Instead, we went to PF Chang’s and he ate off my plate without asking. This really should have been a sign of what the future would hold for us. I’ve tried to convert him to a football (soccer) fan and sometimes it works, unless the score is 0-0 and the ref clearly needs his eyes checked. He’s tried to convert me into an American (OSU) football fan but all I ever cheer is “GO DAYTON FLYERS” and that is not appreciated. Sports will always be a point of contention for us (mostly because I am less than flexible). Chase has tried to get me interested in cars but my version of “working on the car” is bringing him a glass of water and reading my book in a chair nearby. I’ve been trying to brainwash him into a being a #trencher (Marianas Trench fan) but he’s just not in love with the lead singer the way that I am. If only we could agree on something!

Our Engagement

Travel. That is what we agree on! We spend all of our time off doing just that. I mostly drag him along as I’m the planner, though Chase has planned some pretty awesome adventures. There was an excellent cheese tour in California, a stay in a residential library in England, and a drive through the Bavarian Alps, all his doing. Oh, and going to Glacier Point (Yosemite)! Something important happened in Yosemite but I can’t quite put my finger on it. All I know is I was disappointed because we sat down to have a snack and it turned out that the snack wasn’t edible, but sparkly instead. Since we’re evidently stuck together now, Chase and I are in for a life full of adventures: two hour conversations about where to eat, me participating in contact sports and Chase rolling his eyes when I come home limping, Chase making fun of the way I talk, me correcting his grammar, Chase spending endless hours in the garage doing who knows what, me scaring him every time I hiccup, both of us yelling at the TV but never at the same time, a lot of disagreements about music, a long list of places to go with vacations to plan and an infinite amount of love. Chase can’t wait for this wedding crap to be over and I am mentally preparing to add another hyphen to my name. Mostly, we’re thrilled to have found the person we can annoy for the rest of our lives. Happily Ever After, here we come! #HannahIsStarrStruck #SheCaughtAStarr #NowShesAStarr #PBAllStarrs
