Just a short drive away, Downtown Blowing Rock is the perfect spot to spend a morning or afternoon! It’s charming, walkable, and easy to enjoy. For lunch, a few great options include The Speckled Trout (Chase's favorite) or Bistro Roca (Hannahs' favorite). Both are very popular, especially in September, so making a reservation ahead of time is strongly encouraged. If you want something simple and casual, Blowing Rock Market is perfect for grab-and-go sandwiches, pastries, or a quick bite on their street-side patio. Parking downtown is available, but spots can fill up quickly. There is public parking throughout town, including street parking and a few lots just off Main Street, but most spaces are paid or time-limited, so give yourself a little extra time to find a spot.

The Blue Ridge Parkway is a must! It’s peaceful and beautiful whether you’re driving, stopping at viewpoints, or taking short walks.
