In a tale of modern romance which Hannah likes to "conveniently" forget- both Hannah and Chad swiped right on a little app called Tinder. Intrigued by Hannah's self description of "a grandma in a 25 year old's body" and "probably more of a nerd than you'd like", Chad followed Hannah's request for a cheesy joke and the rest was history. For those who are wondering, Hannah doesn't remember Chad's descriptions but it was probably something like "please swipe right!" and "I'm a nice guy!". Something about that goofy smile drew Hannah in. Hannah and Chad first met in a coffee shop in downtown Nashville called Fido. Hannah, needing multiple pep talks from multiple friends to keep from chickening out, arrived 45 minutes early, ordered a coffee and sat down at a table to read her book. Chad, who was not nervous at all, arrived 40 minutes early with his own book. Hannah was so nervous that it took her about halfway through the date to realize that Chad hadn't ordered anything. It was at that point when Chad revealed he didn't like coffee. That was almost a deal breaker, but luckily, Chad was charming enough to win a second date.
It was a long, lonely trip up to Somerset, Kentucky, during the middle of a Friday night, but it was the only way Chad knew he could surprise Hannah. He maneuvered his way out of a long weekend at the cabin with the Kelly family through lies and throwing friends and family under the bus. Hannah was none-the-wiser upon entering PaPa's kitchen that following Saturday morning, considering Chad was just around the corner, holding a ring, and shaking like a child. Thanks to Ceci, Terry, Chris, Emma, Mary, and Tim, Hannah was caught off guard when Chad turned that corner and made her the luckiest woman alive!
