We met in a way that seems to be the only way to meet anyone nowadays - online. We were both still in college and Hannah was about to head back to school, a casual 3.5 hours away. The day before she left, she initiated our first date that ended up being at a local bar. On top of the typical feelings of being nervous and anxious was the fact that four no-name metal bands happened to be playing that night. Our conversations were often interrupted by grunge metal screams and drums in the background. Nonetheless, we enjoyed every second of each other's company and the rest is history.
On the weekend of April 3rd Chad came to visit me at school in Virigina. Chad said that he had a couples photoshoot planned as a graduation gift and the location was up in the Blue Ridge Mountains, which is one of my favorite places to visit. We met the photographer at Otter Lake Waterfalls and started taking a few pictures together and enjoy our time together. When we went to start taking photos in front of the waterfalls I was told to turn my back to Chad and during that time he got on one knee to propose when I turned around. The proposal was intimate and such a sweet moment together in our relationship. Chad couldn't have done a better job in making our moment feel special and ensure we had photos to have the moment captured.
