FAQs

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Absolutely!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! Our venue will have parking attendants to guide you to the best spots.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes! Your presence at our wedding is enough, but if you feel you want to give us a gift, we are registered straight through Zola. There are a few bits and bobs on there, but we have had a home together now for four years, so we have most of the "home goods" we need. If nothing on the list piques your interest, we would be grateful for a contribution to our honeymoon fund.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Unfortunately, our budget and venue capacity limitations mean that our guests cannot bring anyone not listed on their invitation.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Cocktail or semi-formal

Question

I have a food allergy. Can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes! We want everyone to be comfortable and well fed at our wedding. Please let us know about your dietary restrictions when you RSVP.

Question

By when should I RSVP?

Answer

We would love to receive your RSVP by September 15, 2025.

Question

I'm coming from out of town. Where should I stay?

Answer

We have a good number of out-of-town guests, but in asking around, we found that most wanted to stay in AirBnBs with each other rather than hotels, so we did not book a hotel block. If you are looking for a good area for a hotel or for an AirBnB, there are many great neighborhoods around Charlotte that could appeal to different tastes or needs. We would recommend looking around Uptown for an exciting atmosphere (around 20-30 minutes to the venue), around the southern end of Lake Norman for a relaxing atmosphere (around 30 minutes to the venue), around Matthews for comfort and simplicity (around 20 minutes to the venue), or around Ballantyne for a suburban high-end atmosphere (around 20 minutes to the venue). The University neighborhood is perhaps the closest to the venue and certainly the cheapest, but it may not suit all tastes. There are many other great areas, though!

Question

When should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start promptly at 4:30, so planning to arrive by 4:15 is a safe bet!
