Shuttle transportation will be provided between central Avignon and the venue on the wedding night. If you prefer to not take the shuttle, there are Ubers and Taxis that can be arranged. Note that France does not use Lyft for transportation. If you do choose to rent a car, there is plenty of parking at the venue, and cars can be left overnight if needed.
The welcome event is smart casual! The weather will be warm, so we recommend wearing lightweight clothing. For men, this may be a nice, collared shirt and khaki shorts or slacks. For women, this may be a casual sundress and sandals.
Cocktail attire. For men, this may be a nice dress shirt, blazer or suit jacket, and slacks. For women, this may be a jumpsuit, skirt, cocktail dress, or gown. Please note that the venue courtyard has gravel, so we recommend not wearing stiletto heels.
Renting a car is optional. The venue is 20-30 minutes by car from the center of Avignon. The area is well connected by trains and buses, and there is the option to book an Uber or Taxi (no Lyft). If you plan on visiting the more rural parts of Provence and the smaller towns, renting a car may save you time and effort. See the Travel tab for more car rental details. It is also possible to book tours from Avignon to visit the more rural towns in Provence. For safety and logistical reasons at the venue, we kindly ask that no children attend the Saturday wedding ceremony and reception. If needed, our venue has provided a list of French babysitters. Please let us know if this is something you are interested in and we can provide this list to you.
We would be so touched if you are able to join us for this special day and really appreciate the cost and time this will take. It means a lot that you can celebrate with us; gifts are by no means expected. If you do wish to give a gift, contributions to help us celebrate our honeymoon would be appreciated. There will be a card box at the ceremony for those who would like to leave cards.
Yes! We will be sending out formal invitations by mail in the next 2 months. You will then be able to formally RSVP on our wedding website.
