Caleb and I went to high school together but didn't really cross paths until Junior year. We went to a hockey game with our mutual friends, and when we were all hanging out, Caleb and I began talking and laughing. All I really remember of that night is that we couldn't stop laughing. We didn't really talk again until late Summer 2017. Caleb was the captain of the boys soccer team, and I was the captain of the girls'. He reached out to me on Snapchat to schedule a scrimmage between our teams and we immediately clicked. We started talking more and more frequently, and it was like we'd known each other for years. Eventually, we scheduled a shoot around at the Water District soccer fields. I thought it would just be us two, I even wore makeup. But to my surprise, our friend Copeland was there too! I was confused, but just assumed he must not like me like that, and so I just shot around with them. Eventually though, Copeland left, and Caleb and I stopped shooting around. We ended up sitting at the field, and just talked for hours, until the geese flooded the field and the sun began to set. We still wanted to talk so we went to get ice cream at Sweet Carolines. He got plain vanilla hard ice cream, which I still make fun of him for. I swear this was our first date, but Caleb denies it. Our first official date (if you ask Caleb), was at Flynn's when it used to be in Sagamore. From the moment I met Caleb, I knew this was something special. We've been basically inseparable for 8 years. We've supported each other through school, the beginning of a career, a lot of self growth, and so so much more. I think it was about 3 months into our relationship, as a couple of high school seniors, that we agreed we were going to get married. We can't wait for it to finally happen!
