FAQs

We're so excited to celebrate together. Below are answers to a few common questions to help you plan your visit to LaPorte.
Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Funky Summer Formal — formal attire with a colorful, expressive summer twist. We’ve put together a full guide with visual inspiration under the “Attire Inspiration” tab. Please note, we recommend block heels, wedges, dressy flats, or other lawn-friendly footwear.

Question

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

If you are staying at the nearby hotels, we encourage you to walk to the venue (about a 5-7 minute walk at most). Guest parking is not available at the venue. If driving, please park at our designated off-site lot at 1301 Pine Lake Avenue, where a shuttle will take you to the venue. Please visit the Travel & Shuttle tab for the full schedule and arrival tips.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Shuttle service will begin approximately one hour before the ceremony and continue throughout guest arrival. Guests using the off-site parking lot should plan to arrive early to allow time for parking and transportation to the venue.

Question

What happens if it rains?

Answer

We are planning for a beautiful day, but our ceremony and reception will be outdoors on the lawn. In the event of inclement weather, the celebration will be moved under the tent or other sheltered space so the party can go on!

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

Please refer to your invitation and RSVP page for the names of all invited guests in your party.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! Beer, wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages will be available throughout the evening. If you plan on enjoying the bar, we encourage you to stay at one of the nearby walkable hotels or arrange transportation in advance. As a reminder, vehicles may be left at the off-site parking location overnight if needed.

Question

I have a dietary restriction, who should I tell?

Answer

Please include any allergies or dietary requirements in your RSVP form so we can plan accordingly.
