H - When I met Bryce our first-year at F&M College, I was mostly confused about how to spell his name. Brice? Lobel? Whatever, it didn't seem to matter until sophomore and junior year when we both were Hillel leaders and spending a lot of time together. But senior year, something just clicked and we started to see each other as more than friends. We sat next to each other in class and meetings, he cooked me dinner, and showed me the hidden gems of Lancaster.

H - We graduated in 2015 and started our 3-year long distance journey, Bryce in NYC and I stayed in Lancaster working for Hillel. Hours of phone calls, weekend train rides, millions of "I miss you"s and tearful goodbyes (mostly me) finally ended when we moved to Philly together in July 2018! It's so exciting to cook weeknight meals for each other, go to City Fitness after work, and explore our new city together.

B - i was looking for the right time to propose for a while. after many conversations with friends, practicing how i would do it, and talking with our families, a plan finally came together. as fate would have it, the one weekend where all our immediate family was free happened to be the same date as my maternal grandparents wedding 62 years ago. with the perfect cover in place, i told hannah to come to nyc for an anniversary party to honor the memory of my late grandmother. that friday, we went out for a pasta lunch (her fav), went on a walk in the park where i then PROPOSED on a bench, and came back to an apt filled with joyful families and bottles of champagne ready to pop! i'm just glad she knows how to spell my name...

Like so many others, COVID-19 threw a big wrench in our plans. But we weren't going to let a global pandemic prevent us from getting married! On 11.6.2020, one day before our original date, we had an intimate wedding ceremony with our immediate family in Bridgeport, CT on a surprisingly sunny and warm day. It was nothing like we had planned, but absolutely perfect in every way. Next up, celebrating with all of you!
