Because lodging in the area consists mostly of small inns, bed and breakfasts, and Airbnbs, we do not have a hotel block. Please see the "Travel" page for our lodging recommendations!
Yes! Please note, however, that the music at our reception will not necessarily be what some would consider "kid friendly."
Cocktail attire is suggested! Keep in mind that the ceremony and reception will be outside, so make sure to wear shoes that can handle the earth (i.e. not stilettos). Due to the elevation, the temperature in July will range between 60 and 80 degrees, which is a bit cooler than in the city (you're welcome!).
LGBTQIA+ stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, ally, and more. All of these terms are respectful and appropriate to use in general. Hannah and Brit both identify specifically with lesbian and queer, and Brit identifies as nonbinary / gender fluid.
We hope that people of all gender identities--especially those who are non-binary and transgender--will feel affirmed and celebrated at our wedding, and we ask that guests respect the use of they/them and other pronouns. If you are not sure what someone's pronouns are, it is okay to ask them! And if you accidentally misgender someone, all that's needed is a brief apology and continued effort to use the person's correct pronouns.
Yes! Together, Hannah and Brit identify as "the couple," "the newlyweds," and "the Weildons." Individually, Hannah identifies with "bride," "wife," "partner," and "spouse," whereas Brit identifies with "groom," "husband, "partner," and "Mx. Weildon."
Together as a couple, Hannah and Brit do NOT identify with "brides," "wives," "girls," "ladies" or "Mrs. and Mrs." in the plural.
Brit and Hannah decided to combine their last names into a new one! WEIdeL + hernDON= WEILDON. It is pronounced "wild-ən."
