Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia holds a very special place in our hearts. It's where Hannah grew up spending time with her grandparents and enjoying summers houseboating with friends and family. It's where Brian's summers were filled with wakeboarding, crab picking on the dock, and golf cart rides around the neighborhood. And who knew it would be where their paths would cross the summer of 2013, just down the street from each other, all along... a chance encounter that would eventually turn into a love story! But summer doesn't last forever... Hannah and Brian both graduated from high school and started new journeys at Virginia Tech and VCU, not keeping close in touch throughout the years. But it's fair to say that they both thought of each other and summer 2013 from time to time! It wasn't until Brian's European graduation trip and Hannah's summer abroad in Italy in 2018 that Brian found the perfect opportunity to reach back out and shoot his shot. Something along the lines of "if you'll be at the lake after your trip, let's catch up!". That summer evening, Brian was at the top of the driveway in the golf cart, just like old times. And the rest is history! From long-distance drives from Richmond to Charlotte, to first apartments together in Arlington, add in a dog and another move...Seven years later and they're getting married, starting a new chapter in their love story. And they can't wait to share it with you. <3
