Brett & I met in college at a party- which happened to be at his apartment! A friend of mine invited me over and when I met Brett, we ended up talking for hours! We only realized how long we were talking when everyone around us had left!

The day we got engaged, we had planned to have a nice dinner out to celebrate his Nana's birthday. We got dressed up and went to his family’s house to all ride to dinner together. His mom quickly shuffled him & his brother-in-law, Ethan out - saying she had some errands/work for them & the rest of us would meet them at dinner. On our way to dinner his dad, sister and nana were VERY convincing! They said we needed to kill time because Brett, Ethan and his mom were running behind. His nana suggested we go see the view from Mt. Sequoyah (which was where Brett & I had our first date) and has the best view of our town. When I got out of the car, my brother, Jackson was there and he walked me down to Brett. Brett had flowers, a picture of us (& my pup) and champagne set up beautifully around us. After he proposed, I turned around to see his family, my whole family & best friend surrounding us and cheering us on. It was the best day!
