We first met in August 2020 during Braden’s sophomore year at the University of Alabama and Hannah’s freshman year at Shelton State, where she was studying and playing softball. It was at a church group event — a conversation that didn’t seem like much at the time, but one that neither of us forgot. Over the next couple of years, we’d see each other here and there until we finally went on their first date at “Five” in Tuscaloosa. Braden spent most of the night holding the door open since he sat right beside it (true gentleman or just good seat placement — still up for debate). He did manage to find a rose for Hannah that night, though, and likes to think that was part of the charm. We started dating in November 2022 and spent the first few months long distance before being back together on campus throughout 2023. After both graduating in May 2024, we entered another season apart — Hannah began graduate school at Alabama for Speech-Language Pathology, and Braden started his career in Chemical Engineering with Chevron, while living in Mobile. In July 2025, Braden proposed at RTJ Shoals, and we celebrated a whole weekend full of joy, surprises, and love with family and friends in Florence, AL. Today, we love going to church, cheering on our favorite teams, staying active (whether it’s the gym, a walk, or a hike), traveling, and listening to music together. Through miles apart, busy schedules, plenty of change, and everything in between — we wouldn’t trade a minute of it and they’re excited to be sharing the season together and with those we dearly love.
