Due to the nature of the couple and the wedding party, you'll notice a lot of gender-neutral language surrounding our wedding! Hannah uses she/her pronouns while Benni uses they/them. We would appreciate if you would avoid gendered terms ("wife," "groom," etc.) for Benni.
Think garden party. Color is highly recommended; gender roles are only optional. This is a Jewish wedding, so head coverings for the ceremony are encouraged but not at all required. Kippahs will be provided for anyone who wants one! There is a pool, and we must assume that as the night goes on, it will start to call to some of you. Feel free to pack a swimsuit.
In late June, we expect temperatures in the high 70s to mid 80s. Maryland is quite humid, and the temperature does not drop significantly at night.
Our wedding will take place on Saturday, June 25th, 2022. We'll start in the early evening with a short ceremony in the garden. Guests will then proceed to a cocktail hour by the pool while the couple and the wedding party take pictures. The reception will take place on the patio and the upper deck with a full meal, an open bar, and plenty of dancing, and will continue until everyone goes home!
We will be providing appetizers during cocktail hour, followed by a full plated meal at the reception. There is an open bar.
We will do our best to accommodate any special food and drink needs communicated to us before the wedding. Please be aware that walking around the wedding site does require the use of stairs and traversing some uneven terrain.
Hannah is immunocompromised, as are many of our loved ones, so please help us keep our wedding safe! We ask that all guests be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including a booster shot. If you have a medical exemption that prevents you from being vaccinated, please take a COVID-19 test prior to the wedding. As the whole evening will take place outside, as of the time of writing this masks will not be required, but please feel free to wear one for your own comfort. If, closer to the date, we do determine that masks will be required, we will send an update.
Gifts are in no way a requirement to attend our wedding. If you are inclined to give a gift, we would be delighted to receive a card at our wedding, or you can access our honeymoon fund at the "registry" tab above.
