Cape Spear
Be the first in North America to watch the sunrise at Cape Spear! If you're not up for an early rise, go later in the day to grab a snack from the Cape Spear Café and take in the views. August is still whale season in Newfoundland, so linger a little and you're likely to spot some!
Downtown Pedestrian Mall
Water Street closes to traffic during the summer and turns into a lively downtown space filled with patios, local shops, live music, and street performers. It’s one of our favourite ways to spend an afternoon or evening!
Signal Hill
We love visiting Signal Hill because it offers an amazing view of the city from one side, and an expansive ocean view on the other! If you're feeling active, the Signal Hill hike is a must-do. You might even see a whale along the way and can reward yourself with a treat from the Battery Cafe at the end!
