Austin and Hannah met on June 1st, 2024. It was a night of friends getting together and playing charades. He had never met her, even though his childhood friend had been dating her favorite cousin for 5 years - their paths never crossed! They shared a quick hello hug outside while she was checking her tire rotted car. Going inside, it was a night of fun, laughter, and being slightly coy with one another. Austin and Hannah started to ask each other questions while watching a movie on opposite couches. Their friends "slowly" fell asleep beside them, but this did not deter them from continuing their conversation. Austin decided into the early morning hours it was time for him to leave. Hannah walked him out to the dark patio to see him off and say goodnight. He said he would undoubtedly reach out to her and Hannah went in for the goodbye hug. Now, Hannah could not see Austin's face very well, so as they pulled apart, she looked to him, he leaned in to kiss her, and she quickly turned her head, having his lips land on her cheek. She was surprised and assured him she would still be responding to him when he reaches out. Austin left asking himself how he could have read the signs so poorly. The next day they spoke on the phone for hours upon hours. They have never stopped talking to each other ever since :)
