Some of our favorite beaches near South Kihei/Wailea Big Beach / Mākena State Park - The widest, most cinematic beach on this side of the island. Strong shore break, gorgeous to walk, fabulous to swim. Kamaole Beaches II & III - Family-friendly Kihei classics with grassy parks behind the sand. Kam III is the biggest, Kam II has the calmest swimming. The Cove Beach Park, Kihei - Where Maui learns to surf: small, friendly waves and beginner lessons all day. Board rentals at Hi-Tech Surf Sports across the street. Wailea Beach Walk - A 1.5-mile paved path connecting Keawakapu, Mokapu, Ulua, and Wailea beaches. Sunset stroll territory. ʻĀhihi-Kīnaʻu Marine Preserve - Protected reserve with vivid reef snorkeling over old lava flows. Bring reef-safe sunscreen and water shoes. And so many more
Kai Kanani is a luxury catamaran based right in South Kihei/Wailea, and they are the only boat around that "beach-loads" directly from the sand at Maluaka Beach in Makena. Because they launch right from the south side, it’s a quick 15-minute boat ride to Molokini Crater. They offer incredible morning snorkeling trips and beautiful sunset dinner cruises with an open bar and live music.
There are three different courses, Blue, Gold and Emerald.
One of Anthony's favorite restaurant's in south Kihei. Right on one of the main streets with picnic benches and outdoor eating.
Hannah's favorite brunch spot in Kihei, outdoor picnic tables with chickens at your feet.
One of the best Mai Tai on the island
