Hannah and Alex’s connection began long before they became a couple. The first time they remember meeting was during a middle school house party in Hannah's school district that Alex was lucky enough to be invited to by a hockey teammate. Their history goes even farther back, however, as Hannah and her siblings used to visit the “Chicken Lady’s” house to see her chickens, ducks, turkeys, dogs, cats, goat and deer. The Chicken Lady happened to be Alex’s grandmother, Nans, whom Hannah’s mom worked with at the blood lab. Even earlier, Alex’s mom, while pregnant with him, was the sonographer that scanned Hannah’s mom while she was pregnant with twins. One of those twins was Hannah. Believe it or not, the mothers, that share a birthday, even attended the same X-Ray school only a few years apart. Since their initial introduction, the two had seen each other at a few mutual friends’ events, but Hannah went to Saint Joseph’s University to play soccer while Alex was at Penn State where his competitive hockey days had already come to an end. It wasn’t until after both of them had graduated that they connected again. As it appeared to Hannah from Alex's social media accounts, he was quite the eligible bachelor. With some encouragement from one of her best friends, Hannah decided to DM Alex, and he invited her to spend a weekend in Baltimore. Since that visit in the summer of 2019, it has been happily ever after. Two years into their relationship, Hannah returned to Saint Joe's in Philadelphia for grad school to become a Physician Assistant. Alex remained in Baltimore to continue working, and the two took turns driving to and from their respective cities, and home to Berks County in between. During their free time, they love challenging each other on the field, court, ice, course, mountain, you name it. It wasn't until recently when Hannah got inducted into her high school's Athletic Hall of Fame that Alex reluctantly considered it being possible that Hannah was the better athlete. Now, more than 5 years in, they are finally nestled into the same city together and very much look forward to staying by each other's side for the rest of time to come.
