In 2020, a strange year marked by social distancing and mask-wearing, day-to-day life as we knew it came to an abrupt halt. Hannah, who works in consulting, was no longer the road warrior who traveled from Monday through Friday. Alexander had just returned from a work assignment, running a skilled nursing facility in Durham, North Carolina, and was awaiting his next job placement. True to any modern love story, Hannah can thank Hinge for bringing Alexander into her life. Their connection on the app was instant, and it was clear that a strong bond was forming. Following their first date, a picnic in Grant Park, sharing snacks and laughs while being impressed by Alexander's cooking skills, the two became inseparable. The COVID years naturally accelerated their relationship. Fast forward to 2023, Hannah and Alexander have explored Atlanta in countless ways, strengthening their bond. Whether it's Hannah convincing Alexander to attend hot yoga classes or participating in doubles tennis matches (though they lost a heartbreaker in the semi-finals), they're always supporting each other. They enjoy trying new restaurants but also have their go-to favorites, including Carroll St Café, Nuevo Laredo, Highland Tap, Little Tart, Big Softie, and many more, and catching live music shows whenever their favorite artist, John Mayer, comes to town. Hannah and Alexander's love for each other continues to strengthen, and they eagerly anticipate sharing this significant milestone with all their family and friends.

A big planner, Alexander had started preparing for the proposal weekend back in November 2022. For the past couple of years, he had been telling Hannah about the need to take a trip to the mountains in North Carolina as a bucket list item. Little did Hannah know, he had planned a weekend getaway to the North Carolina mountains for early June 2023. Wasting very little time on their trip, no more than two hours in, Alexander had scheduled a boat ride aboard the 'Lightning Bug' to explore Lake Toxaway. The sun glistened on the water while the mountains towered above them, creating a truly breathtaking scene. After reminiscing about their relationship, Alexander dropped to one knee in the middle of the lake and asked Hannah to marry him. Her enthusiastic "YES" marked the beginning of their engagement. The next 24 hours were filled with more joyous moments, including a surprise from the parents and an engagement photoshoot that left Hannah completely shocked. It was a fabulous weekend of celebration. Finally, the weekend culminated in another surprise, this time with family and friends gathered for a Champagne Toast at Hannah's childhood home.
