How We Met as written by Hannah

Hannah and Adam matched on December 27, 2020 on Bumble which is also the day Adam took home Milo, our dachshund. It was an exciting day for all of us! After a few days of messaging, a date was set for January 4, 2021. Unfortunately, COVID prevented Hannah from joining in person for the date. So instead we decided to do a FaceTime date which turned into 12 hours of talking on our phones. You could say that we hit it off quite well!

The Proposal as written by Adam

07/28/2022

Sometimes things don't go quite to plan but work out in the end better than expected. Adam celebrates a birthday on July 29 and Hannah agreed to have a YES day. This is where she could not say no to whatever Adam wanted to for his birthday. This was the ideal circumstance for him to ask Hannah to spend the rest of her life with him. Thus the perfect plan was created. Originally, Adam was going to propose to Hannah on his birthday and present her with two LEGO people he had custom made that bared their likeness. The morning of July 28, Hannah broke a nail. Dismayed, she alerted Adam to a nail appointment she made to fix the fallen follicle. Adam knew he has scheduled a nail appointment for the next day so the photos that would certainly accompany the proposal would look wonderful. So he knew he had to stop her from attending the appointment. He knew he must change the plan and change fast. It was the summer and Adam was off (he's a teacher) and Hannah comes home from work at lunch. The perfect time to catch her by surprise. When Hannah came home from work she found the LEGO people sitting on the kitchen counter in a pose resembling a proposal. She noticed the LEGOs but did not say anything out of fear of seeing something she wasn't supposed to see. She turned and Adam handed her a box and inside was a gorgeous rose gold ring with a diamond that would have made the royals of past envious. She was taken aback since she did not expect anything so life-changing during her lunch break but to Adam's delight she said yes. Now they spend their days squabbling over seasonal decorations, the proper way to prepare brandy old fashioneds and who is to do the next load of laundry. A good life if there ever was one.

For all the days along the way
