H + C

Hannah May

and

Chance Stein

February 21, 2026

Port Aransas, Texas

Our Story

These two originally met in January of 2024. The moment a vision came to life, not by Hannah, not by Chance, but by Wendy Moore. While they likely would have found each other on their own, you’re reading this now because Wendy pulled the new kid in town, Chance, over to meet Hannah. The first conversation barely lasted a minute. Wendy tried to introduce the two on a few more occasions, but between their busy lives, the timing was never right. Finally, she put the two in contact over the phone, and they haven’t stopped talking since. Thus, the beginning of a beautiful relationship. A long-distance relationship. Originally from Port Aransas, Hannah was in no rush to move back. Chance having moved to Port Aransas on a whim certainly could never have expected this, but only hoped for it. These two meeting on a little island in Texas really is something. A beautiful testament to having faith in God’s plan. Their first date was at The Phoenix in Port Aransas on July 12th, 2024. Chance will tell you that from this point, he knew they were going to get married. Planning weekends around one another is where the two found their commitment to each other. No one visited the other’s town more often. From then on, doing everything they could to build the relationship they started. They went so well together because of their common interests. Both are strong in their faith and not shy of adventure. Hannah would join Chance on his wade fishing trips to Baffin Bay. Certainly not her favorite activity, but one she was willing to try just to spend time with him. In return, Chance was thrown into the May Ranch Dove Hunt, to endure her three brothers. Their shared love for the outdoors made every moment special, no matter what they were doing, as long as they were together. Everything changed on August 8th, 2025. Hannah and Chance had just gotten back from a fishing trip. And if anyone knows Chance, he flies by the seat of his pants. With hardly any planning and a little encouragement from his sister Julia, he decided to propose that very evening. Racing the setting sun, the boat better known as the Blue Lady, was quickly cleaned up. He called Hannah to convince her that there was enough time for a sunset cruise. And the rest is history.
