The year Javi and Hannah turned 30, both decided to embark on new life adventures to Los Angeles. Hannah moved there in October and was hired to work at the newly opened Eataly LA. The following March, Javi moved from the Chicago Eataly to become Eataly LA's new gelato chef. Both being new to LA, they enjoyed spending more and more time together, discovering new and interesting things to do. It was later that year, June 25th, to be exact, that they realized their friendship had become something much more. To escape the hustle and bustle of LA traffic they began traveling outside the city whenever they could. They visited places like Laguna Beach and Santa Barbara to celebrate Hannah’s Birthday and even a trip to Seattle. After that first summer, Hannah got a job promotion and moved to the new Eataly in Las Vegas. After 2.5 years of long distance, Javi decided to move to Las Vegas to be with Hannah.
Hannah had planned a nice weekend away in Death Valley for Javi’s birthday. They both had never been before. They traveled to all the popular spots within the park but saved the best place for last. The last stop before sunset was the mesquite flat sand dunes. They were amazed by this incredible place, they both climbed the tallest sand dune and perched themselves on the ledge and watched the sunset. It was at that moment when Javi reached into his back pack and pulled out a pretty wooden box. He pulled this beautiful ring out and asked Hannah to marry him. She was in shock, she of course said yes, and as the sun dipped behind the mountains, they both knew this would be forever.
