Hannah and Trevor first met in November 2018, matching on Hinge while Trevor was newly employed in the cities and Hannah was on a clinical rotation. They talked for a week or two and decided to meet in person to grab some coffee at Buzz Coffee. Alas, despite the date going well, Hannah began to think about the upcoming holidays, her next clinical rotations (one being in the Dominican Republic) and graduating from her DPT program... kind of a tough time to bring a boy into the mix when she didn't know where she would even begin looking for jobs or where she would end up. She let Trevor know her reservations and they mutually said goodbye, wishing each other the best of luck in life. Neither thought they would see or speak of the other ever again. Well... fast forward to 2022. In the four years that passed, Hannah graduated from her Doctorate program, got a dog, and began working as a physical therapist outside Minneapolis. She worked her first few years in the thick of the pandemic, but over time she transitioned to a job at a larger hospital and moved closer to the Twin Cities. As the pandemic slowed and she was able to get out and explore more, she was able to create the community she is grateful for today. Trevor continued work in Minneapolis until being laid off in the wake of the pandemic, leading to the move back home to Illinois, where he too got a dog. He then took a leap and moved to Colorado briefly, until ultimately deciding the Midwest is where he wanted to be. Trevor enjoyed some more time living with his family, cooking for his grandmother and bowling with his dad. As much as Trevor enjoyed this period of his life, he eventually felt the need to find his sense of community and independence. Still knowing some folks in Minnesota, he decided to move back up to the Land of 10,000 Lakes in Fall 2022. Both had been on and off the dating apps the previous few years (IYKYK), but happened to ultimately match on Hinge...again. About a month after moving back to Minnesota and reacquainting himself with some of his old friends, Trevor got back on the dating apps. Lo and behold, he recognized one of the first 5 people he swiped on as Hannah came across his feed. He thought he would shoot his shot and commented on one of her pictures "Hey! It's been 4 years... want to grab another cup of coffee?". When Hannah saw the message, she laughed to herself thinking, if anything, this would be a funny story. So why not. The two decided to grab beers at Arbeiter Brewing Company on a chilly December evening and ended up talking for over 3 hours (there was a lot to catch up on)! Really the rest is history from that point... but to make the story even more magical, they had their second date walking through a Christmas market in downtown Saint Paul, where both of them began to think this could really go somewhere. Afterwards, over two big bowls of pho, Trevor invited Hannah to his friends' New Year's Eve party. They shared their first kiss at midnight to ring in 2023 and made things official a few weeks later. Could be a Hallmark film, right? :)
