FAQs

The Wedding Website of Hannah Yudovin and Jack Benjamin
Question

Is San Miguel de Allende safe?

Answer

Yes! SMA is one of the safest cities in Mexico and extremely tourist-friendly. It is impeccably well-maintained and is even a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Question

How do I get to and from the venue?

Answer

Our wedding venue, Casa Chorro, is located only a few minutes walking distance from the town center, so it is easily reached on foot or via taxi. The taxis can be found driving around the city or about a block from the town center.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Formal attire (tie optional). Bright colors and bold prints are encouraged. Keep in mind that the San Miguel streets are cobblestone, so we suggest you stray from a stiletto heel. Check out our Pinterest Board for inspo - https://pin.it/7lp5nEFb1

Question

What is the weather like in October?

Answer

Days tend to be warm (think 70s–80s) with cooler evenings. San Miguel de Allende cools down fast after sunset so we recommend shawls or light jackets.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

Anyone listed on the invitation is invited to the wedding celebration. If you'd like to make this a family trip, we love that! San Miguel is a family-friendly and safe city to visit with your kids. Upon request, we can work with our wedding planner to help you find child care during the wedding festivities.

Question

Do I Need a Passport?

Answer

Yes! Please be sure that your passport does not expire within 6 months of October.

Question

Will there be altitude effects?

Answer

SMA is ~6,200 ft. Most people feel normal, however, we recommend you hydrate, wear sunscreen, and be weary of alcohol intake (hydrate!).

Question

Can I drink the tap water?

Answer

No. Please only drink filtered or bottled water. Hotels should all provide.
