We were set up on a blind date through a mutual friend Maribeth. Maribeth and I were friends and roommates in college. Thomas and Maribeth were childhood friends. One evening I had dinner with Maribeth and few other friends and at this dinner Maribeth says " Hanna, are you seeing anyone?, because I have the nicest guy for you." I sort of blew her off but good ole Maribeth was persistent, she ended up showing me his social media and asked "Can I send him your number?" Reluctantly, I agreed. Later on that evening Thomas ended up texting and we texted for a few hours hitting it off. By the time we were getting off the phone we had a First Date set up and the rest was history...
The proposal happened in Randolph County on the very tip-top of a place called Elk Mountain right at sunset. Of all the times I've been there hunting until dark and seeing countless sunsets, this one was, by far, the most beautiful. We had our friends Meg and Luke with us and the plan was to make Hanna think we were going up to the mountain to take pictures. Hanna and I were posing in front of the sunset when I took out the ring and got down on one knee. Fortunately for me.......she said yes!!!
