Enter a mutual friend, who—bless their wisdom—pointed out the obvious: “Your person is right in front of you!” It took Kanie a few months (okay, half a year) to finally gather the courage to ask Hanna out. Our first few dates were slow and steady as we navigated the delicate shift from friends to something more. But everything changed on our third date at the rodeo.
